This position pays: $36 - $40/hour
Location: San Rafael, CA
Schedule: Full-time, on-site role. AM shift. You must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support production demands.What you will be doing:
- Set up, optimize, and perform preventative maintenance on bottle filling lines and other production equipment.
- Troubleshoot advanced machinery issues to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
- Inspect, clean, and lubricate machine components while keeping detailed maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with external technicians, vendors, and suppliers for repairs and parts ordering.
- Execute electrical projects involving low voltage, 120V single phase, and 208V three-phase circuits.
- Perform plumbing repairs on valves, pipes, and pressurized lines.
- Complete basic HVAC tasks such as filter replacements and thermostat adjustments.
- Assist in developing written work procedures, training materials, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with GMP standards, safety protocols, and PPE requirements.
- Support facility-related projects, including carpentry, soldering, and welding.
- Maintain a clean, organized maintenance department and inventory system.
What you bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machine maintenance and facility maintenance.
- Proven experience with automated machinery, including labelers, cappers, date coders, and tape machines.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits, plumbing systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (certification preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on advanced repairs.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and record-keeping software.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and following GMP protocols.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks at elevated heights.
