Job Summary :
Nelson-Jameson is a leader in the Food and Beverage Distribution industry. An Export Specialist plays a vital role in planning and coordinating the export of goods to international destinations. They are essential to the process of international trade, ensuring that products move seamlessly across borders. Key responsibilities will include verifying order details, negotiation, and facilitating the conversion of products to meet foreign specifications for export. The role also involves arranging shipping logistics, including licenses and customs documentation, and ensuring compliance with current tariffs and export restrictions.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Manage the logistics and supply chain processes associated with the exportation of goods.
- Processes incoming quotes, orders, repairs, and returns by entering them into the computer system in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Thorough verification of order details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Negotiate agreements with export brokers and similar distribution centers.
- Expedite or direct staff in expediting correspondence, bid requests, orders, credit collections, etc.
- Direct conversion of products from America to foreign specifications to ensure efficient export.
- Arrange shipping details such as licenses, customs declarations, packing, shipping, and routing of products.
- Expedite export arrangements and maintain current information on tariffs, licenses, and restrictions.
- Awareness of export restrictions for shipments to international destinations.
- Other duties as assigned.
