Position Summary:
Nelson Pipeline is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent, based out of our Fort Lupton, CO office. The Superintendent is responsible for the overall timely completion of major projects in a safe and efficient manner, in line with the project scope with no injuries.
Responsibilities:
- The Superintendent will drive and maintain a culture of safety and will ensure all crews follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Drive strong relationships with the client with regular and frequent communication on project status
- Estimate and review vids documents, procedure and manage site work construction projects
- Develop and maintain client, subcontractor and vendor relationships and provide alternative methods to increase field productions and efficiencies
- Analyze job analysis through B2W software to ensure project is on time and on budget
- Assist Project Manager with monthly job projections, change orders, and resource management
- Evaluates long-term labor and equipment resource requirements for projects and how they impact the ‘big picture’ needs for the company
- Directly manage Foremen and other personnel including performance reviews, career development, payroll, recruiting, interviewing, terminations and more
- Manage day to day operations for crews including review and approval of timecards and safety submissions, daily communication with project manager and office as needed, conduct pre-planning of future work, monitor project for long-term resource needs and allocation
- Oversee field quality control and safety
- Proactively hire and retain talent
- Other job duties as assigned
