Overview:
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Marketing Assistant to provide support to our marketing manager, leadership team and ownership. In this role, you will work closely with our staff to produce marketing materials, research industry trends, and gather client stories and experiences and share on a broader scale via social media or the web. You will also assist with event planning, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as necessary. Our ideal candidate has some marketing experience and is self-motivated to complete tasks on a deadline with little supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather materials for presentations and events, in person or online, including advertising contracts and client engagement stories
- Work alongside marketing manager to implement marketing vision; to include signage locations to create maximum return, layout out of farm activities and seasonal decorations
- Assist with promotional activities and organizing customer events as well as documenting them via camera or customer story telling
- Track existing marketing campaigns to completion and report on results alongside marketing manager
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments, including advertising, market, farmstands and farm staff
- Engage as the face of the organization for many onsite events and groups
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or statistics preferred
- Previous experience in sales and marketing a plus
- Prior administrative roles in office setting
- Proficient with Google office products, Photoshop, and Indesign
- Ability to handle multiple projects with varied timelines
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Event marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
