Position: Operations Director
Overview:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and thorough operations director to join our leadership at Nelson Produce Farm. As operations director, your primary responsibilities will entail the management of daily operations, the formulation of policies, implementation of ownerships vision, and the strategic development of departments. Our ideal candidate is a results-driven leader who is an effective communicator and collaborator. It is imperative that this role acts as the glue to the overlapping departments and works with onsite department heads to coordinate and implement business plans and execute the vision of the owners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct company operations, projects, and services to include events, festivals and business operations
- Provide guidance to team members to develop a cohesive team and raise up new and trusted leaders
- Develop and implement end to end business operations that ensures integration by collaborating amongst departments
- Analyze data to inform operational decisions for current and future seasons
- Collaborate with finance department to analyze financial records and look for methods of improving efficiency
- Direct and coordinate the activities of each business department to achieve desired business outcomes and increase the impact on the community
- Assign duties to members of the team and prepare staff work schedules
- Monitor vendors and suppliers to ensure that goods and services are provided within budgetary limits
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4 of industry experience or management experience in a related field
- Knowledge of business and management principles, including coordination of people and resources, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, resource allocation, and strategic planning
- Willingness to take charge and take on challenges
- Strong problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills
- Solid interpersonal communications skills through various mediums, including face-to-face, telephone, email, and video conferencing software
- Excellent social perceptiveness; correctly interpret others' reactions and the reasons behind those reactions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
