Assist veterinarian in providing exceptional veterinary care to every pet that enters the hospital, including patient restraint, diagnostic testing, venipuncture, vaccinations, treatment of various medical conditions, surgery, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, client interaction, and other nursing duties as needed. Must also deliver compassionate nursing care. Will perform various office duties including answering phones, appointment scheduling, updating patient medical records, patient referral forms, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Uphold nursing responsibilities to the highest standard
- Provide client education material in a way that clients will understand clearly
- Maintain patient records
- Safely and effectively handle animals in any situation
- Assist in securing the facility and safety of guest, staff and animals
- Basic office duties as needed
- Check in / Check out processes
- Maintain hospital cleanliness
- Be open to continued education opportunities
- Actively participate in monthly staff meetings, teambuilding activities, and one on one connections with direct supervisor
- Other job duties assigned
