Description

The L&D Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the training and quality assurance department. This position requires an individual who can exercise a great deal of independent judgment and who is able to work on their own, be proactive and possesses an ability to solve problems. This individual will provide support for some functions, as well as take ownership of several projects in the department. This individual is the ambassador for the resort, taking full ownership of all primary communication to all internal and external customers.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with the Learning team to create a calendar of classes.
  • Market and coordinate training classes to include maintaining the training calendar, booking training rooms, equipment, F&B, and any training communication.
  • Plan events for program participants and/or university students for site visits, as requested.
  • Coordinate and schedule facilitators and attendees as needed. Ensure all understand the dates, times, locations, and objectives of the training.
  • Print materials needed for classes and prepare classrooms prior to events to ensure the room is ready to welcome participants.
  • Send any communications necessary pre/post class to participants.
  • Work in our Learning Management System (LMS) to create classes, validate enrollment, print rosters, maintain tracking (sign-ups and attendance) and other tasks associated with learning.
  • Assist in the data entry and electronic storage of training information and certifications.
  • Establish and maintain office supplies for the training department and place purchasing orders as needed.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation when comfortable with content.
  • Attend necessary team, department, and resort wide meetings as directed.
  • Complete and coordinate special projects as directed.
  • Modeling Nemacolin Brand Ambassador standards always.
  • Assume all other responsibilities assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in Business or a related discipline or one to two years of experience in Human Resources / Training or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Must have previous experience in providing excellent guest service.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in coordinating and conducting training programs is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
  • Experience with E-Learning platforms and/or Learning Management Systems a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of concurrent projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
