This is a hybrid position (both onsite and remote).
The Director, Culture and Talent develops and delivers enterprise learning and development solutions to advance Nemours Children's Culture and Talent strategy. The role is responsible for highly skilled facilitation and delivery of learning experiences to enhance associate development and drive business goals. The role participates in the formulation, measurement, and execution, of enterprise strategy to advance associate engagement. This leader oversees the implementation of associate engagement surveys and takes steps to include the associate voice in the coordination and support of organizational response initiatives. The position originates, plans and implements enterprise-wide initiatives, programs and processes to support leaders in improving associate engagement and associate development. This role is also responsible for the administration, advancement, and growth of formal leadership development, including the Nemours LEADER program. Specifically, designing and delivering industry leading development programming to frontline, mid-level, and senior leaders across the enterprise. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Culture and Talent and directly partners with the Director, Culture and Coaching to support leadership consulting and lead team interventions.
The Director, Culture and Talent has direct oversight to associate onboarding and creates experiences and processes to create a world class onboarding experience that drives associate connection, retention, and commitment to the organization. Additional duties include leadership and performance coaching/consultation, consulting with HRBPs and functional leaders on associate development and engagement matters, as well as the creation of associate development experiences. This role will be responsible for developing and integrating scalable tools to support broad change initiatives. This role in conjunction with the Sr. Director, Culture and Talent will develop, design, and execute formal development offerings for all management levels enterprise wide. This position will also play a key role in driving organizational change processes to achieve strategic priorities and goals.
- Contributes to the formation of high-quality leadership and associate development experiences across a multifaceted health care system. Executes Culture and Talent strategy across the organization.
- Develops programing, tools, and methodologies which ensures best practices are leveraged and sustained. This includes designing and executing team effectiveness sessions, team/leadership retreat planning and group facilitation.
- Builds business partnerships and provides strong consultation to develop functional strategies aligned with the overall organizational strategy and associate experience.
- Is a key driver an innovator to building highly effective, scalable, and engaging learning experiences including designing and creating collateral for programs and leadership development offerings.
- In partnership with the Sr. Director, Culture and Talent this person provides leadership and oversight of formal and legacy leadership development programming including but not limited to the Nemours LEADER program
- Participates in the planning, execution, and support of enterprise succession planning initiatives.
- Develops key associate engagement metrics, standards, tools and processes; monitors, measures and evaluates effectiveness of team interventions.
- Provide change management expertise to leaders as required to lead large-scale, complex change initiatives. Develop the strategy and support the planning, creation, and delivery of change materials based on stakeholder impacts and change execution plans. Design and deliver the case for change, key messaging, leadership alignment, stakeholder assessments and management, change readiness assessments, and change impact assessments.
- Facilitates learning through customized classroom, web-based, and blended learning approaches.
- Participate in the formulation, execution, measurement and adjustment of enterprise strategy to improve associate engagement. Participate in the establishment of engagement metrics for the organization.
- Oversee the implementation of engagement surveys and work with organizational leadership and HR stakeholders to advance engagement throughout the enterprise.
- Originate, plan and implement enterprise-wide initiatives, programs and processes to improve associate engagement.
- Partner with all levels of management to support the associate voice and feedback is integrated into formal action planning processes.
- Partner with Sr. Director, Culture and Talent, HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to develop and implement practices, processes and methods to facilitate management and associate accountability.
- Oversee associate onboarding to include associate, leader, and executive levels to ensure connection to the organization.
- Lead efforts to crosswalk engagement data with culture of safety, outcomes and patient experience data. Share data about the relationship of engagement to patient experience and clinical outcomes in a manner that highlights the criticality of high engagement.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure high engagement and clear and effective communication of learning and development opportunities.
- Provide consultative services to management on engagement matters.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree required. Preferred - Doctoral degree in leadership/organization development, psychology or related fields.
- 10 years of direct, hands-on experience in developing and delivering learning programs (e.g. Competencies, Strategic Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Assessments and Surveys, Engagement, 360's) required.
- ICF or similar coaching credential preferred.
