Job Overview
The main responsibility of the Dispatcher - Non-Emergency Medical Trips (NEMT) will be to schedule and coordinate all NEMT for the San Bernardino and others County that are covered by HMK Inc.
Duties:
· Coordinate and communicate all NEMT trips at least 5 days in advance, along with answering high-volume calls and emails from NEMT providers, coordinators, and drivers.
· Process all re-routes and cancellations of the trips, along with any trip requests promptly.
· Maintain and keep the daily manifest updated with all trip changes.
· Assist in problem-solving trip-related problems caused by driver illness, vehicle breakdowns, etc.

· Ability to work in a high-demand environment, handling high-volume calls and emails.
· Ability to stay calm in stressful demanding situations.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
· Problem-solving and decision-making skills, ability to take action with little supervision.
· Good time Management
· Strong Computer Skills - Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Quick Book to do daily downloads from all NEMT portals.
· Accessing email, utilizing instant messenger software, using Ring Central phone systems
· Good customer service skills including efficient verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and very detail-oriented
· Must be able to work independently and responsibly
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
- Strong phone etiquette and excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with phone systems, GPS technology, and fleet management practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Proficient in using computer systems, including Dispatching Software for operational support.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Pay: starting at $18 per hour, depending on experience
