Job Description
JOB SUMMARY : The Sr. User Experience Architect leads and guides User Experience teams, providing strategic direction and overseeing the entire user experience design process. They are responsible for the development of user-centric experiences based on the client's business objectives and strategic goals, ensuring user-based tasks are grounded in the overall strategy and best practices. In this role, the Sr. User Experience Architect develops relationships with different agency departments including Strategy, Art, Copy, Editorial, Account, and Project Management. They can be involved in decision-making, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the user experience aligns with business goals and will play a key role in shaping the User Experience Strategy. This role requires mentoring junior-level team members and plays a key role in shaping strategy. They must display critical and logical thinking. The Senior User Experience Architect is expected to be well-versed in legal, medical, and regulatory pharma guidelines, as well as any client-specific rules and brand guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Problem solving : Must be resourceful and responsible, able to support team members and deliver on work assigned. Manages and resolves issues. Advocates for the user, and how the digital product’s architecture and functionality meet those needs.
- Communication : Must be positive, respectful, kind, empathetic, and work with a proactive attitude. Can clearly communicate both verbally and in writing. Can manage workload effectively. Actively communicates with supervisor and other XD team members to note ability to take on new work and inform them of relevant status in a timely fashion. Welcomes feedback from team members across all disciplines, including XD, creative, project management, strategy, account, and clients.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
EDUCATION :
DEGREE / DIPLOMA AREA OF STUDY REQUIRED / PREFERRED : Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, Graphic Design, or related discipline (Preferred)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :
UX professional certification (preferred)
EXPERIENCE :
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AREA OF EXPERTISE REQUIRED / PREFERRED : 7 years’ experience designing applications, interactive touchscreen experiences, and websites. Related roles : UX Information Architect, UX Strategist, Technical Writer, Content Strategist, UI / Developer, HCI, Visual Communications, UI / Graphic Design, or related field preferred. Agency, healthcare, and interactive design experience a plus.
