About the Role - Neos is seeking a Technical Data Product Manager for a long-term contract with our client in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of software development:
- Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), programming languages, software architecture, and relevant technologies.
- Experience with data management systems and data-related technologies.
- Proficiency in Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into user stories and manage a product backlog.
- Ability to comprehend how different technical components interact and identify potential technical challenges.
- Knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues and finding effective solutions.
- Ability to address data-related problems such as data quality, data governance, and data security issues.
- Ability to analyze data to inform product decisions.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques.
- Understanding security principles and best practices.
- Experience with data security protocols and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Ability to understand and contribute to the overall product vision.
- Defining and communicating the product strategy for data management solutions.
- Prioritizing and managing the product backlog to ensure that the development team is working on the most valuable features.
- Ensuring data management features and enhancements are properly prioritized.
- Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Engagement with stakeholders to identify and address data management needs.
- Understanding the market in which the product operates and the needs of the users.
- Knowledge of trends and advancements in data management practices and technologies.
- Clear and concise communication of technical information to non-technical people, and clear communication of business needs to technical people.
- Effectively convey the importance of data management solutions to various stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 7 Years Experience managing data product/project development, product management, or as a technical product/project leader
- 7 Years Extensive experience in data management, data governance, and data analytics
- 5 Years Business Analysis skills documenting business requirements and translating them into actional projects
- 5 Years Proficient in Business Intelligence and data management, the best practices and industry trends in Machine Learning
- 5 Years Managing the budgets and processes of running enterprise level programs
