What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drivers License and Title Clerk position at Neosho License Office?
License office clerks are responsible for processing drivers license, I.D.'s, license plates and vehicle titles while maintaining strict compliance with the State of Missouri.
This is a full-time position Monday - Friday 8:45- 5:15.
Pay will increase to $20 per hour after 90 days.
All new hires must be able to pass a Missouri Highway Patrol background check, personal property tax, income tax, and vehicle sales tax background check.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Professional appearance, good communication and great customer service skills.
Accurate and efficient typing skills for data entry.
Attention to detail and able to multitask.
Able to handle a stressful environment.
Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
The following are some of the responsibilities:
- Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
- Keying customer information from titles and registrations.
- Verifying insurance, taxes and safety inspections.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and notify customers of their titles.
- Answer the phone to take messages, answer questions or redirect calls to appropriate colleagues.
- Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers, fax machine and computers.
- Assist in office management and organization procedures.
- Monitor stocks of office supplies (paper clips, toner, paper etc.) and report when there are shortages.
- Perform other office duties as assigned.
- Each clerk is responsible for their cash drawer at the end of the day.
