\Key Responsibilities
\- Plan, provide, and document home visits to families with young children.
- Conduct yearly developmental screenings to assess children's progress and identify areas for support.
- Participate in recruitment efforts to engage new families in the program.
- Plan and attend group connection activities to foster a sense of community among program participants.
- Complete required annual professional development hours to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to meet program demands.
- Work independently and self-motivated to achieve program goals.
Qualifications
\To be successful in this role, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
\- Hold a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Vocational Home Economics, Family and Consumer Sciences, or Child Development, with demonstrated ability in working with young children and their parents.
- Have a two-year associate degree or certificate in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Nursing, with demonstrated ability in working with young children and their parents.
- Completed sixty semester hours or more of credit from an academic degree-granting institution within the United States Department of Education's Directory of Post-Secondary Institutions, with two years of successful experience in a program working with young children and their parents.
- Five years of successful experience in a program working with young children and their parents, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Candidates must also successfully complete a week-long certification training through the Parents as Teachers National Center.
