Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to produce precision metal parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality control to ensure accurate and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.

• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other manual or CNC machining equipment.

• Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure they meet specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

• Adjust machine settings to improve efficiency and ensure product accuracy.

• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.

• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company and industry safety regulations.

• Document production activities, including material usage, quality control checks, and machine performance.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Experience with machining processes, CNC programming, and using measurement tools.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of how machines and tooling function.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve production issues.

• Attention to Detail: Precision work is required to maintain tight tolerances.

• Experience: 2 years in machining, preferably in a tube mill or related manufacturing environment.

• Education: Technical certification or degree in Machine Tool Technology required.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing setting with loud noise, metalworking equipment, and potential exposure to oil and lubricants.

• Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting heavy parts, and handling tools.
