What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Coordinator position at Nephrology Associates of Kentuckiana?
We are looking for a motivated individual that is detail orientated, thrives in a fast paced environment, and has a desire to provide excellent patient customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcomes Patients and Visitors by greeting them
- Optimizes Patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying Medical Assistant of patient’s arrival
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties; answering patients’ questions; maintaining the reception area
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges
- Print and prepare daily schedules for both the main office and satellite clinics
- Protects Patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 year plus medical office experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer Service Driven
- High school diploma or GED with at least one year experience in a medical office
- Excellent computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion
