NANI is seeking a professional, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our growing nephrology medical practice.
As a Credentialing Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring credentialing files are complete and current by gathering, tracking, and completing new and re-credentialing applications of our medical providers with health plans, hospitals, Medicare/Medicaid, and patient care facilities.
The ideal candidate will have prior credentialing experience in the medical field.
- This position is 100% on-site in our Oak Brook, IL corporate office.

What You’ll Do
- Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers in credentialing databases and online systems;
- Maintains and updates all insurance credentialing requirements and assist in the licensure application process for licensed professionals
- Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certifications, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
- Tracks license, certification, DEA, and professional liability expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals
- Completes provider payer enrollment applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed
- Communicates clearly with providers, their liaisons, medical staff administration, medical staff leadership and Administration, as needed to provide timely responses upon request on day-to-day credentialing and privileging issues as they arise.
- Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers
- Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies, and other entities
- Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information
- Maintains confidentiality of provider information
- Provides credentialing and privileging verifications
What You’ll Bring

- Excellent computer skills with skills including credentialing applications, Microsoft Office
