Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with medical procedures under the direction of healthcare providers
- Manage front desk activities including answering phone calls and directing inquiries
- Utilize medical software systems like Meditech for patient data entry and retrieval
- Provide administrative support such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for patients
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using office systems and software for scheduling and record keeping
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and care plans is advantageous
