Role Overview
Nepsis is adding a Senior Accounting to our growing consulting team! The Senior Accountant in this role will both provide advising services and act as a fractional senior accountant for our clients. The Senior Accountant will also be an active member of the Accounting & Advisory Services team and assist in building out internal processes and best practices to ensure delivery excellence. The person that will thrive in this role is some one that is client service driven, able to quickly shift between priorities, and has great communication and presentation skills.

Financial Accounting & Reporting
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate. Client and internal company information is highly confidential.
The essential functions of the Senior Accountant role will require the employee to be able to communicate verbally with others. The employee will often be required to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer and other office equipment. The employee will occasionally be required to stand, move, reach, and lift up to 10 lbs. The employee may be required to travel and work at the client site.

Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Work with clients to complete financial analyses and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Lead, review, and/or complete the Clients general ledger records through month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Preparation and review of reconciliations.
- Prepare and file payroll tax, sales and use tax, and other filings.
- Prepare financial reports following GAAP and other applicable standards.
- Ensure compliance of reporting and controls are being met and provide assistance for third party audits.
- Produce management reports such as forecasting and others for client leadership.
- Train client staff on financial controls, tools, and reporting standards.
- Support multiple client engagements simultaneously while building client relationships and producing high quality deliverables on time.
- Recommend and implement financial processes and controls to meet compliance standards and create efficiencies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and the internal team.
- Assist in the development of internal playbooks to support delivery excellence.
- Be an active member of the consulting team and support internal initiatives and projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite software and accounting software, e.g., Quickbooks, Thompson Reuters CP, etc.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Project management skills and able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Continual learner to stay up-to-date with compliance standards and new tools and technology
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, or another closely related field
- 3 or more years of experience in accounting or financial management
- Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
- Current CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification or licensure
- Experience in a consulting or fractional role
