What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/ Purchasing Specialist III position at NES Fircroft?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Global Shared Services Purchasing team who will support the transactional process by creating requisitions and purchase orders in SAP. The Buyer will have functional purchasing responsibilities for an assigned area or function and use standardized procurement processes that meet business needs while adhering to corporate standards and mitigating financial and liability risks.
Key Accountabilities
- Creating purchase orders in SAP and administering the lifecycle of a purchase order from requisition receipt to supplier payment
- Responsible for working inquiries that are assigned to them with a sense of urgency and professionalism
- Evaluating vendor quotes to determine most cost effective solution
- Verify invoice accuracy and facilitate timely resolution of discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve transactional issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring all procurement activities are in compliance with the Company Supply Chain Policy, including all proper documentation, use of systems, approvals, and communications
- Ability to determine root cause issues and effectively communicate corrective action to vendors, stakeholders or other team members
- Assist in data clean up efforts and work on special projects, as assigned
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for supply chain initiatives
