Nesbitt Engineering, Inc. is seeking Registered Architects with a strong project management background. The Architect/project manager will be responsible for planning, designing, and facilitating the execution of new building projects, as well as building expansions or renovations, tailored to clients' needs, preferences, and financial resources.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to identify project requirements, approximate budgets, timelines, and potential future expansion needs.
- Develop and present design proposals, including specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
- Create detailed architectural plans that incorporate engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; present plans for client review and approval.
- Prepare scale drawings and contract documentation for bidding purposes.
- Collaborate with construction teams and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- May be required to work on multiple projects at a time.
- Required to work on diverse amount of project types.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer-aided design software such as Revit and Twin Motion, or similar tools.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
- Excellent problem-solving and consultation abilities.
- Ability to translate client concepts into visual representations through drawings or models.
- Effective project management skills, including the ability to develop scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals, and lead teams to successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- A valid KY Driver's License is required.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum education: NCARB Accredited Educational Institution (Bachelor/Master's degree (required).
- A minimum of three years' experience.
