Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative design, technical precision, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. This role involves preparing detailed construction plans, designing civil infrastructure systems, and mentoring junior staff, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Prepare detailed construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and comprehensive design narratives.
- Perform advanced site layout, grading, drainage infrastructure calculations, and roadway layout/design.
- Design and layout water distribution and wastewater collection systems in compliance with applicable codes.
Project Management
- Conduct and document design code reviews, ensuring alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare Master Development Plans and contribute to comprehensive engineering studies.
- Review and respond to construction shop drawings and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle.
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Quality Assurance & Industry Knowledge
- Uphold strict compliance with QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in civil engineering technology to incorporate into designs and processes.
Qualifications
Educational Background & Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
Experience
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and HydroCAD for design and analysis.
- Experience with WaterCAD is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems, water distribution, and wastewater collection network analysis.
