Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Fort Wayne, IN (46804)

Salary Range: $85,000 – $135,000/year (Direct Hire with Immediate Benefits)

License Requirement: Active Indiana PE License Required

Position Overview

We seek a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to manage and execute various infrastructure projects, from roadway construction to utility design. This client-facing role requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with permitting, zoning, and planning agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring quality and compliance with local codes.
• Oversee project teams working on roadway construction, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water mains, and lift stations.
• Actively participate in project and planning meetings (on-site and off-site)
• Coordinate permitting and zoning processes, maintaining open communication with relevant agencies.
• Ensure consistent, timely communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, deliverables, and budgets
• Monitor project budgets closely, record daily time sheets, and report project status regularly
• Contribute to proposal writing and cost estimation to establish project scope

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Indiana
• 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, emphasizing subdivision and site design
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for regular client interaction
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with Allen County, Indiana offices (preferred, but not required)
