What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Nesco Resource?
Nesco Resource is search of a Buyer for one of our clients in Nashua, NH.
SUMMARY :
The Buyer will be responsible for the procurement and timely delivery of MRO materials, supplies and services for multiple manufacturing locations. This is a temporary position.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review purchase requisitions in Excel format via a shared email inbox, following the business process to manage the mailbox and sub folders, AND review purchase requisitions in the Advanced Requisition Module (ARM) of Epicor (ERP system).
- Support the roll-out and transition to the ARM process at various sites.
- Ensure compliance with the Approved Matrix of Authority for spend approvals and the approved supplier list prior to placement of purchase orders.
- Solicit quotations, negotiate pricing and payment terms.
- Create purchase orders in Epicor for MRO materials, supplies and services.
- Review and record supplier order confirmations and attach them in Epicor.
- Maintain purchase orders to reflect accurate pricing and delivery; communicate any delivery updates to the Requisitioner.
- Pro-actively communicate with suppliers to ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) and maintain data accuracy in Epicor for proper OTD performance measurement.
- Expedite urgent purchase orders with suppliers as needed to support the business.
- Work with Shipping / Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and / or transaction discrepancies.
- May analyze historic purchases, pricing and OTD to make process improvement recommendations on an ad hoc basis.
