We are seeking a skilled Smart Hands Technician with experience in data centers and fiber optics to provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will assist with hardware installations, network configurations, cable management, and fiber optic troubleshooting in a fast-paced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rack and stack of servers, network gear, and other IT hardware.
- Assist with fiber optic and copper cable installation, termination, and testing.
- Troubleshoot network and hardware issues, escalating as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance, firmware updates, and system diagnostics.
- Provide remote hands support for client requests, including rebooting devices and replacing components.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Adhere to data center security and operational protocols.
- 1 years of experience in a data center, NOC, or IT field support role.
- Familiarity with fiber optics, structured cabling, and network infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and power issues.
- Strong understanding of rack layout, cable management, and labeling standards.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and server hardware preferred.
- Comfortable working in a 24/7 environment with potential on-call duties.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network , CCNA, or BICSI are a plus.
