What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Safety Compliance Inspector - (Manufacturing) position at Nesco Resource?
Primary Functions:
- Monitor the implementation and adherence to regulatory and Quality Food Safety (QFS) policies.
- Coach co-manufacturer personnel on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, housekeeping, and foreign material control.
- Ensure the food processing facility adheres to GMPs, covering everything from personal hygiene to equipment sanitization.
- Document and professionally communicate identified food safety gaps.
- Comprehensive knowledge of auditing (FSMA, BRC, SQF, etc.) and QFS programs (GMPs, sanitation, housekeeping).
- Food industry processing/packaging experience, with the ability to develop personnel's understanding and implementation of QFS programs.
- Expected to travel to the primary facility.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods on the production floor.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor the implementation and adherence to regulatory and QFS policies.
- Coach co-manufacturer personnel on GMPs, sanitation, housekeeping, and foreign material control.
- Ensure adherence to GMPs in the food processing facility, including personal hygiene and equipment sanitization.
- PCQI, GFSI, and QFS auditing skills.
- Ability to document and professionally communicate food safety gaps.
- Comprehensive knowledge of auditing (FSMA, BRC, SQF, etc.) and QFS programs in food industry processing/packaging.
- At least 5 years of experience in an auditing or quality food safety manufacturing role.
- BS in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or 5 years of auditing/manufacturing quality and food safety experience.
- PPE will be provided by the site.
- The contractor must provide their own steel-toe safety shoes.
Salary : $25 - $30
