SUMMARY:
The Lead Operator is responsible for all daily production for their shift. Lead Operator is to ensure efficient and profitable production output and on-time delivery of quality parts to the customer per documented Quality System Manual procedures and consistent with Policy. This includes operator assignments, training, documentation, problem solving and communication.
Duties include (but not limited to):
Work Environment: Production Floor
Physical Requirements: Minimal lifting, up to 50 pounds.
Educational Requirements: Prefer six (6) months minimum experience in an injection molding environment.
Pay: $17-$19.80 Per hour
Shift: C- 11pm-7:30am
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Position Status: Full Time

SUMMARY:
The Lead Operator is responsible for all daily production for their shift. Lead Operator is to ensure efficient and profitable production output and on-time delivery of quality parts to the customer per documented Quality System Manual procedures and consistent with Policy. This includes operator assignments, training, documentation, problem solving and communication.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Responsible for all production operations such as quality of packaged product, proper labeling.
- Production process documentation accuracy and completeness. This includes Scrap Reporting and box count accuracy.
- Operator assignments along with breaks and lunches. This includes floor operators.
- Training new and existing employees to help continuously improve the knowledge and skills of our work force.
- To monitor and maintain labor efficiency according to the schedule as it fluctuates throughout the shift.
- Continuous monitoring and supporting of the operators to ensure they are meeting the required expectations as listed in the PDP. (3x / hr)
- Communicate any product questions or concerns to Production or Quality personnel and assist as needed.
- Direct and perform job completion duties such as, clearing workstations and proper returning of instructions to the PDP folder, alerting material handler, and complete staging for next job.
- Direct, assist, and promote a clean and safe working environment. Work with plant safety and quality teams to proactively identify issues.
- Print and help maintain daily paperwork and any tools needed by the operators to perform their job duties effectively and efficiently as required by the PDP.
- Assist in cycle counts as needed to ensure job completion before shutting job down.
- Complete administrative duties such as entering scrap counts into IQMS and providing paperwork if needed to allow easy transition for next shift.
- Communicate any and all problems, concerns or changes experienced or expecting with the next shifts Lead Operator or Supervisor.
- Other tasks may be assigned by Shift Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
