Nesco Resource is seeking a System Specialist to join an industry-leading company specializing in cutting-edge technology solutions for large-scale operations. In this role, you will support the company’s IT infrastructure by ensuring seamless Windows updates, patching, and system stability, while contributing to process improvements and security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Windows Patch Management – Conduct monthly testing and controlled deployment of Windows updates.
- System Validation & Troubleshooting – Perform post-update validation, identify issues, and escalate as needed.
- Drive Testing – Travel to designated locations (up to 200 miles/month) to perform system testing.
- Database Verification – Use basic SQL queries to verify update effectiveness.
- Process Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed records using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Collaboration – Work closely with IT teams to improve patching processes and system security.
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or relevant work experience/certifications.
- 1-3 years of IT experience (entry-level candidates with certifications welcome).
- Experience with Windows patching, WSUS, and basic Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, SharePoint, and IIS.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft patching methods.
- Basic SQL querying skills.
- Exposure to Linux (preferred).
- Experience with antivirus technologies and security patching.
- Group Policy Administration experience (preferred).
Requirements:
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (Ability to drive company vehicle provided for testing).
- Ability to work fully on-site in Oklahoma City (Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
