Norman Regional Health System is a beacon of workplace excellence, nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. Our innovative cardiovascular program is expanding, and we are seeking a caring knowledgeable Registered Technologist to help us achieve our goals.
Our new Critical Care Tower will feature three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.

Job Responsibilities
- Pre-procedure preparation: Ensure equipment is ready for use before and during procedures.
- Patient assessment: Identify patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Sterile environment maintenance: Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures.
- Professional Practice:
- Precepting: Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Orienting new staff: Participate in the orientation of new staff members.
- Downtime utilization: Use downtime to perform tasks such as stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated duties assigned by Charge person or manager.
- Collaboration with physicians: Foster strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Cath Lab RT Orientation: Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months.
- Competency completion: Complete all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
Qualifications
- Radiologic Technology education: Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology.
- Previous procedural experience: Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/etc.
- ARRT Registration: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- RCIS Certification: Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- BLS Training: Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current BLS Requirement: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- ACLS Training: Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
Compensation and Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience.
