Nesco Resource is seeking an Actuation Specialist to join our client's growing team in Houston! This role is perfect for someone with valve actuation expertise who enjoys collaborating with sales, engineering, and suppliers to develop innovative solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on actuation technology
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and suppliers to develop customer solutions
- Review bid packages, automation specifications, and technical documents
- Execute RFQs and quotations for actuators to ensure competitive pricing
- Source & verify actuators to meet customer and system requirements
- Maintain a strong understanding of actuation control systems (solenoids, limit switches, regulators)
- Participate in documentation and project reviews (drawings, schematics, circuit diagrams)
- Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and distributors
Qualifications:
✔ Previous valve actuation experience is required
✔ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business (or equivalent experience)
✔ Experience in actuation manufacturing or valve automation centers (VACs) with brands like Bettis, Biffi, Morin, Auma, EIM, Rotork, etc.
✔ Strong knowledge of valve automation systems, actuators, and control components
✔ Expertise in application and sizing of actuators
✔ Experience with OEMs in valve/actuation manufacturing or distribution
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, ERP/MRP systems)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
