Trusts and Estate Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal with at least five years of experience to join our office in Nassau County This is a HYBRID role . The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and accountants. Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills, particularly with Excel, are essential. A Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.

Qualifications :

• At least 5 years of experience working in a law firm with a focus on Trusts and Estates.
• In-depth knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, estate funding, and general case management.
• Proactive in assisting with the preparation of legal documents such as Wills, Trusts, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, and Powers of Attorney, as well as providing administrative support to attorneys.
• A solid understanding of Surrogate's Court processes, including probate, administration, and accounting proceedings, is crucial.
• Experience with estate tax returns is a plus.
• A strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a client-focused approach are important.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel is required; experience with NetDocs is a bonus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
