What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trusts and Estate Paralegal position at Nesco Resource?
We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal with at least five years of experience to join our office in Nassau County This is a HYBRID role . The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and accountants. Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills, particularly with Excel, are essential. A Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
Qualifications :
- At least 5 years of experience working in a law firm with a focus on Trusts and Estates.
- In-depth knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, estate funding, and general case management.
- Proactive in assisting with the preparation of legal documents such as Wills, Trusts, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, and Powers of Attorney, as well as providing administrative support to attorneys.
- A solid understanding of Surrogate's Court processes, including probate, administration, and accounting proceedings, is crucial.
- Experience with estate tax returns is a plus.
- A strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a client-focused approach are important.
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel is required; experience with NetDocs is a bonus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
