Job Title : Yard Jockey / Forklift Operator
Location : Statesville, NC
Schedule : Monday - Thursday, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM
Pay : $17.00 per hour
Job Description :
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Jockey / Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving trailers, loading / unloading goods using a forklift, and assisting with shipping and receiving operations.
You will ensure a smooth workflow in the yard while maintaining safety and organization in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Load and unload trailers with a forklift, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the shipping and receiving process, ensuring shipments are properly documented and stored.
- Inspect trailers and forklift equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain organization in the yard, ensuring trailers and equipment are parked and stored properly.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Qualifications :
- Prior experience as a yard jockey, forklift operator, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
