Responsibilities:
- Champion the SH&E function for a high-volume Packaging operations, focusing on protecting and improving employee safety and environmental sustainability.
- Participate in Site Leadership Team meetings and develop managers and line leaders to become effective SH&E leaders/coaches.
- Drive Site SH&E performance improvement by developing key priorities, drivers, and activities with key performance indicators.
- Maintain a continuous 'audit ready' state of compliance with company SH&E policies and procedures as well as applicable external regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement SH&E best-in-class programs, systems, and processes, including training and mentoring.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, engineering subject area or SH&E-related field is strongly preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in SH&E roles, with the last position held as a Site SH&E leader or division, regional, or corporate safety and environmental experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Professional certifications in SH&E-related fields, such as CSP, CIH, OHST, NEBOSH, etc., are beneficial.
- Proven experience and understanding of ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, LEAN, and TPM concepts and their relationship to production/engineering and job functions.
- Detailed knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
- Strong demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and self-initiative skills.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional teams capable of delivering desired results.
- Effective communication and influencing skills across a diverse range of people from Corporate/Division leadership to factory floor associates.
- Proven track record to drive sustainable organizational change.
- Capacity to think strategically and tactically and quickly flow across both.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and results-oriented approach.
