Job Description:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and creating new sales opportunities for our IT services tailored for K-12 schools. This role plays a critical part in building and maintaining a strong pipeline for our sales team by initiating contact with prospective schools, understanding their technology needs, and communicating how our services empower education.Primary Functions:
· Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social media to generate qualified leads.
· Respond to inbound leads and inquiries, engaging with potential clients to qualify their needs.
· Qualify leads through discovery conversations to assess their fit and interest.
· Research target schools and decision-makers to personalize outreach efforts.
· Generate and clean a list of 100 prospects weekly for outreach and follow-up.
· Prepare 100 handwritten envelopes weekly as part of the direct mail campaign and follow up via phone the following week.
· Build rapport with prospects by understanding their challenges and presenting tailored solutions.
· Schedule appointments for the sales team with qualified prospects.
· Act as a bridge between potential clients and the sales team, ensuring a seamless handoff.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of IT For Education’s services and how they address challenges faced by schools.
· Use a CRM system to track, document, and update lead interactions to ensure accurate reporting.
· Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align efforts and follow up on inbound leads generated from campaigns.
· Gather feedback from leads to inform marketing and sales strategies.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
· Contribute to the creation and execution of outbound prospecting campaigns.
· Assist in tracking lead metrics and providing regular updates on progress toward goals.
· Accurately track call statistics and outcomes in both Keap and Excel sheets.
· Participate in sales and marketing team meetings to share insights, refine processes, and align engagement strategies.
· Represent IT For Education at events, conferences, and during client interactions, including delivering holiday gifts as needed.
· Support the development of targeted outreach strategies for new markets or service offerings.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in educational technology and IT services.
· Assist in creating and maintaining sales and marketing materials for outreach campaigns.

· Ability to learn and articulate technical concepts related to IT services and solutions.
· Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track and manage leads.
· Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and the challenges faced by schools is a plus.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
· High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in business, education, or a related field is encouraged but not mandatory.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales development, business development, or similar role.
· Previous experience in IT services, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), or the education sector is preferred.
