Shift: 07:00AM-05:30PM, Monday to Friday (On Call 3-5 weekends per 6 weeks (8 hours), 4-6 weekday per 6 weeks)

Job Description:
Duties:
- Positions patient to give best exposure for surgical procedure, using stabilizing equipment when necessary, while maximizing patient comfort and safety.
- Provide visualization of the operative site using appropriate method, including manipulation of tissue and materials , retraction, sponging, suctioning and irrigation
- Utilizes appropriate technique to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis
- Assists with body pane closures, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems
- Assist in room clean up and the removal of soiled case cart , supplies and trash from OR room as needed at the completion of surgical case.
- Participates as a surgical team member in preparation of the surgical suite according to surgeon's preference cards with appropriate instruments, resources and supplies.
Skills:
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Required credentials:
- BLS provider credentialed from the AHA obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS provider card from AHA
- Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- High School Dimploma / GED with 2 years of experience or Associates degree or Technical degree required.
Salary : $50 - $56
