Join our client, a leading organization in the industry, as an Electrical Engineer 5. This is a long-term contract position, with a duration of 24 months and potential for extension.
About the Role:
- Conduct thorough trade-off analysis using key metrics such as performance, total cost of ownership (TCO), and research and development (R&D) investment to ensure optimal solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex electric powertrain systems to resolve electrical and mechanical component and system challenges efficiently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the field, with a Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing system schematics and develop new electrical system layouts that meet industry standards.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, adhering to Caterpillar-developed standards and industry best practices.
- Apply fundamental principles of electrical theory to design efficient electric powertrains.
- Utilize design and simulation tools/software to optimize system performance.
