Job Title: RN Manager, Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Salem, VA
Type: Full-time, Permanent (No Weekends)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Manager for the Emergency Room to join our team in Salem, VA. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the ER in the absence of the Director, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality care delivery.
- Plan, allocate, and manage staffing resources based on workload and patient needs.
- Develop, review, and revise unit standards and policies to maintain optimal care standards.
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for ER staff.
- Oversee staff performance evaluations, training, and ensure compliance with licensure and competencies.
- Facilitate the orientation of new employees, students, and volunteers.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Diploma or higher), current RN license in Virginia (or multi-state compact license with eligibility to practice in VA).
- Preferred: BSN or currently enrolled in a BSN program.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (required).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (must be obtained within one year of hire).
- BCLS Instructor certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
Experience:
- Required: Previous ER Management experience.
- Charge Nurse experience or 1 year of ER Manager experience will be considered as part of the eligibility.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $42.55 - $58.03, based on experience.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $1500 available.
