Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Manager for the CVICU and PCU to oversee daily operations, staffing, and quality care for these critical care units. As a leader, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting and leading a team of clinical staff to meet facility and departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery of high-quality care through daily operational management of the CVICU and PCU units.
- Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care, ensuring patient and family needs are met per established protocols.
- Provide leadership and operational oversight to ensure the clinical staff is held accountable for quality care and clinical outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes based on evidence-based practices.
- Create and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration among team members.
- Manage staff scheduling, ensuring proper coverage according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Oversee financial management by controlling operational expenses, including supplies, equipment utilization, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of recent acute care ICU leadership experience (preferably as Manager or Supervisor).
- Strong preference for candidates with 3-5 years of prior ICU experience in staff roles.
- ICU experience is required; CVICU experience is no longer mandatory.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required. RN or APRN licensure required.

Additional Information:
- Reports to Director of Critical Care, ACNO, then CNO.
- Oversees CVICU (12 beds) and PCU (12 beds) along with telemetry services.
- Leads a team of 70-80 direct reports, including Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, and PCTs.
- Focus on improving employee engagement and enhancing patient experience.
