Job Title: Manager of Facilities Management

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Facilities Management to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of our healthcare facility. As a key member of the management team, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance & Operations: Oversee daily operations, manage departmental budgets, ensure staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations including the Life Safety Code, Emergency Management, and Environment of Care standards.
- Project Management: Lead and support construction and renovation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and managing budgets.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the facilities management team, ensuring effective scheduling, workload management, and performance.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Promote energy-efficient practices and implement strategies for cost control, sustainability, and operational excellence.
- Vendor Management: Manage RFP processes, vendor selection, and ensure all contracts comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in hospital facilities management, including managing major utility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gases).
- Leadership: Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in facilities management.
- Certifications: CHFM, CHC, or CHE certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory codes is essential.
