Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Telemetry Services team in Independence, MO. The position requires a rotating shift schedule, including both day and night shifts with rotating weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients’ heart rhythms, interpret ECGs, and manage arrhythmias.
- Provide critical care for a wide variety of patients, including those with chest pain, strokes, COPD, and post-op conditions.
- Collaborate with a skilled team to provide high-quality care for patients in a 36-bed cardiac specialty unit.
- Participate in emergency interventions and support patients requiring step-down care.
- Offer support, guidance, and education to team members while advancing your own clinical skills.
About the Role:
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1 (Day Shift) / 5-6:1 (Night Shift).
- 1 Tech per hall to support the nursing team.
- Work in a Level II Trauma Center with an Accredited Chest Pain Center.
- The unit cares for patients 16 years and older, including young adults, adults, and geriatrics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience.
- RN License from Missouri or a compact state.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Pay: $32.00 - $43.00 per hour (depending on experience).
- Shift Differentials: $3 for nights and $2 for weekends.
- Sign-On Bonus: $12,000 with a 2-year commitment.
