Job Title: SCADA Engineer (Level I, II, and III)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a SCADA Engineer to join our team, responsible for supporting various groups like Transmission and Commercial. The role will involve working closely with the team lead, field technicians, and other internal team members. Communication with external vendors may also be required. This position will support the development, maintenance, and improvement of SCADA systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on SCADA systems (RTU), preferably GE Products (XA21), but experience with other SCADA systems will also be considered.
- Collaborate with different teams, including Transmission and Commercial.
- Utilize AutoCAD for designing and supporting SCADA systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as NERC CIP.
- Utilize ICCP (Inter-control Center Communications Protocol) for communication between systems.
- Leverage scripting skills (Python) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the development of displays and user interfaces within SCADA systems (experience is a plus).
- Provide training and support to other team members and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Foster effective communication within the team and with external vendors.
- Work within a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Utility industry background is essential.
- Experience with SCADA systems (especially GE XA21) is preferred, but other SCADA systems will also be considered.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance and other regulatory standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD and display building in SCADA systems is a plus.
- Scripting experience, particularly with Python, is highly desirable.
- PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Training:
- Comprehensive training will be provided at the start, and it is expected that the SCADA Engineer will begin performing duties independently within 2-3 months of joining the team.
