Overview
The Business Administration and Operations department is a fast-paced, dynamic team responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and operational management across Disney Entertainment Television's Corporate Communications and Marketing groups.
This role supports the budget oversight of DET Corporate Communications teams including:
- ABC Entertainment
- ABC News
- Ad Sales
- Networks and TV Business Operations
- Internal Communications
- Insights and Research
- Slate Publicity and Special Events
It also supports non-communications budgets related to:
- DET Photography
- Hulu Photography
- Onyx Collective Photography
- Freeform Photography
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Premiums and Promotions (under the Talent Relations department)
You’ll help ensure compliance with Walt Disney Company financial policies and partner closely with Finance and Controllership (DET, Hulu Marketing & Creative, Freeform and Onyx Creative).
Responsibilities
- Process and audit invoices using SAP and Procurement COE (PCOE)
- Submit weekly Kronos payroll
- Manage accounts receivable and bill backs (external/internal)
- Deposit checks with Company Cashier & Controllership
- Support onboarding of Daily Hires via Workday
- Prepare documents for monthly/quarterly fiscal close
- Submit and track accruals (monthly/quarterly)
- Prepare and support journal entries for Accounting
- Provide procurement services via Disney Coupa catalog
- Generate monthly reports on expenditures, freelance salaries, overall spend
- Update budget reports through SAP
- Request and manage WBSE project numbers for title-specific tracking
- Process special handling checks (e.g., events, photo galleries)
- Prepare revenue/recovery reports
- Collaborate with CWM team on vendor setup and account management
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of financial experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with accounting tools and platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, event planning software, and internal comms tools
- Collaborative mindset with ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Experience working with vendors, agencies, or event teams is a plus
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Accounting, Business, or equivalent work experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Preferred: SAP and Kronos experience
