Database Administrator

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain development, test, and production databases.
- Implement and enforce appropriate security protocols in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
- Perform capacity planning, database tuning and optimization, system resource planning and allocation, and implementation of backup and recovery strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with availability, performance, and integrity of the databases.
- Control and monitor user access to the database.
- Apply patches and updates regularly.
- Migrate existing databases to the latest SQL servers.
- Perform evaluation and implementation of new database technologies.
- Provide technical support to application development team.
