Business Development Representative
We are seeking an eager and growth-oriented Business Development Representative to drive sales opportunity generation and revenue growth. In this role, you will proactively engage with potential clients through outbound outreach, follow up on marketing-generated leads, and build relationships with key decision-makers. You will collaborate with leadership and client stakeholders to optimize pipeline health, conduct research to understand target buyer profiles, and initiate meaningful sales conversations. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, high energy, and a passion for results, along with a self-motivated, hard-working mindset committed to their own success. Success in this role requires persistence, resilience, strong CRM management, adherence to lead qualification processes, and close alignment with demand generation managers to execute timely follow-ups. Additionally, you will continuously develop your healthcare solution knowledge and sales skills to maximize impact.

Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-call research and planning
- Interact with prospective clients via phone, email, and social media
- Qualify opportunities
- Facilitate call campaigns targeting tradeshow leads
- Update Salesforce.com with activity-based data
- Collaborate with peers, managers and quota-carrying representatives to identify strategies and assess results
Required
- Ability to work in office at Netsmart’s headquarters in Overland Park, KS
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year of sales experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Salesforce.com experience
- Healthcare industry experience a plus
