Access Center Clinician

We are the community behavioral health organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.
We are seeking an Access Center Clinician BSW or Master’s Degree to provide crisis intervention, screenings, and referral to behavioral health services for adults and children. The clinician will work with individuals in crisis and with substance use disorders completing screening on a walk-in basis. Activities may take place in a variety of settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephone).
This position is 4 0 hours a week, from 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends, occasional holidays, and scheduled on-call rotation . This is an in-office position at 790 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Master’s Degree:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology, Counseling or Counseling Psychology
- Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within 3 months of hire.
- Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis
- Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
- Available for on-call services (on a rotating basis)
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
- Licensed Master Social Worker preferred.
- Credentialed through the Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals, preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for BSW:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed bachelor’s social worker OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three months of hire.
- Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
- Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
