What Will You Do?
As an Assessment & Referral Clinician at Pine Rest, you'll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. This role provides triage, assessment, and referral services for patients. Our Assessment & Referral Clinicians are driven to make an impact in the lives of those we serve and are motivated by the healing they witness first-hand each day. Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ability to work collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of clients and / or the organization.
- Professionally and calmly handles crisis calls to determine appropriate next steps in the assessment process.
- Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultation with patients in crisis / psychiatric emergency to assess their clinical condition and to recommend the appropriate level of clinical care.
- Coordinate admissions and / or intakes, including interfacing with insurance and managed care companies for authorization.
- Refer patients to outpatient services, either within or outside the system when necessary.
- Ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that persons' assessment information is entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational and departmental procedures.
- Ability to respond to a range of clients' needs using differential diagnoses and treatment approaches.
