What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Credit and Collections position at Network Distribution?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Leadership
- Effectively supervise the team, provide timely feedback and coaching, maintain sufficient communication, training and support.
- Develop, evaluate, and administer procedures governing the departments, focusing on a high degree of timeliness and accuracy.
- Strive to proactively prevent issues from happening. If issues do happen, focus on resolving issues timely and adjusting internal processes and communication to help prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
- Develop peer relationships with other departments and work with them in order to maximize cross-department collaboration, effectiveness and value to the Members and Customers.
Collections
- Supervise timely collections by setting SMART individual and team goals and managing the team in achieving those goals throughout the year.
- Supervise timely resolution of collection issues by demonstrating proactive and collaborative efforts, initiative, independence, proper escalation and focus on excellence.
- Demonstrate adaptability to constantly changing customer and business demands by adjusting team’s approach accordingly.
- Minimize agent payoffs.
- Minimize past due balances through aggressive collection efforts.
- Manage timely internal and external reporting. Ensure that credit reports are designed with target audience and business objectives in mind.
Credit
- Minimize credit risk while supporting sales growth through thorough credit evaluations and ongoing monitoring.
GENERAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain a culture of engagement, collaboration and respect.
- Ensure results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating performance metrics/goals; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes.
- Resolve issues appropriately, document issues and related performance, and train associates to handle independently in the future, as appropriate.
- Conduct and oversee regular associate reviews to evaluate performance to ensure the requirements of Network are met and that high performers are challenged with additional responsibility.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of the team in the areas of attitude, productivity, and technical expertise by providing individual coaching feedback sessions that focus on improving, communication skills and technical ability. Utilize performance metrics as outlined in Job Descriptions and annual goals to evaluate effectiveness and progress of assigned associate.
- Supervise a team of 5 associates.
- Responsible for the daily supervision of personnel, annual and mid-year reviews, providing ongoing support and constructive feedback.
- Responsible for the assessment and assignments of workflow to assigned staff.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills,
- SAP, Concur or Adaptive Planning experience a plus
- 5-10 years experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- Distribution experience a plus
