What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator position at Network For Hope?

As an HR Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our Human Resources operations. You will support HR processes, employee records management, benefits administration, and leave tracking, while serving as a primary point of contact for employees. Your work will help create a positive, compliant, and well-organized environment that fosters the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate payroll-related changes to the payroll team bi-weekly for timely processing.
- Oversee employee personnel files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and meet regulatory requirements.
- Assist with compliance related to federal, state, and local labor laws, including audits and maintaining up-to-date labor law postings.
- Support tracking and reporting on HR data, employee actions, and annual requirements for compliance purposes.
- Manage employee anniversaries, birthdays, and other milestones.
- Facilitate new employee enrollments into recognition programs and update records for internal transfers and terminations.
Onboarding Support
- Prepare and distribute new hire paperwork, ensuring smooth onboarding and compliance with required documentation.
- Meet with new employees to review HR policies, benefits, and organizational expectations.
- Coordinate New Employee Orientation and ensure compliance with immunization requirements for new hires.
Benefits Administration
- Coordinate employee benefit orientation and process necessary paperwork with benefit carriers.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate monthly benefit billing reconciliation.
- Provide employees with support regarding benefit inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Assist with coordination of the annual Open Enrollment meetings and process COBRA administration as required.
Leave of Absence Support
- Coordinate leave requests under FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and other applicable state and local laws.
- Ensure accurate leave time entries in payroll and facilitate smooth communication for employees on leave.
- Maintain confidential employee medical records and related documentation.
Other HR Duties
- Assist with event coordination and staff recognition programs.
- Help ensure compliance with employment laws and assist in maintaining organizational best practices.
Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary education is required. Bachelor's degree in human resources or related degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Office or Administrative Assistant in a professional environment, or related field. Relevant demonstrated experience may substitute education requirements.
