Pest Control & Wildlife Technician

Job Summary:
Network Pest Control is seeking a skilled and versatile Utility Technician to join our team. This role combines general pest control, wildlife management, animal exclusion, and basic handyman work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in various environments, including attics and rooftops to seal entry points and prevent pest and wildlife intrusions. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general pest control treatments to eliminate and prevent infestations.
• Conduct wildlife management tasks, including trapping, removal, and relocation of animals as needed.
• Install animal exclusion measures, such as sealing entry points in homes using construction materials and tools.
• Inspect and identify pest and wildlife entry points in residential and commercial properties.
• Climb ladders and access rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces to complete repairs and exclusions.
• Use basic handyman skills to repair or reinforce structures (e.g., screens, vents, gaps) to prevent pest and wildlife access.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction materials to complete tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining services and answering client questions.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

• handyman work experience is preferred as you will be working with tools and materials to do professional exclusion work.
• Pest Control experience is not necessary but helpful as you will need to take the state test to be an applicator.
• Basic knowledge of tools (e.g., drills, saws, caulking guns) and construction materials (e.g., mesh, wood, sealants).
• Physical ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and navigate confined spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and good drivers record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Certification in pest control or willingness to obtain it (company support provided).

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience with animal exclusion or sealing entry points.
• Familiarity with local pest and wildlife species.
• Basic carpentry or home repair experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
