Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. is expanding our dynamic legal team, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate for the Hartford office. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of litigation experience in addition to having a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to insurance defense in civil litigation, as well as the areas of general liability, medical malpractice, insurance coverage and employment defense. This role requires excellent case management skills, writing ability, and discovery experience. Trial experience a plus. We are looking for a hardworking, confident individual capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
• Litigate cases effectively while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
• Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and case law relevant to practice areas.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation for all ongoing legal matters.
Experience:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar association (required).
• Strong legal research skills with proficiency in using legal research databases.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.

Salary : $105,000 - $130,000
