Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiver to join our warehouse team. The Receiver will be responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing shipments and orders, ensuring all packages are accurately received, inspected, and stored in accordance with company procedures. Additionally, they're responsible for loading customers with their orders. This role is critical in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring all packages match the purchase orders.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move products safely within the warehouse.
- Organize and store received items in designated areas to maintain an orderly warehouse environment.
- Assist in picking and packing orders for shipment, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies or issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing.
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack safely; certification may be required.
- Experience operating farm equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift packages weighing > 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
